The performance indicators are grouped into five areas: teaching and learning environment are assessed, also the amount of research, according to the scope of research, income and reputation. The frequency of citation of the prepared research and international outlook, according to the number of foreigners working in the institution, studying and research conducted in cooperation with foreign researchers is also taken into account. Another evaluation indicator is the quality of knowledge transfer and the added value to the industry income.

THE World University Rankings are the only global performance tables that judge research-intensive universities across all their core missions: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
